The smartest way to stay up to date on numbers
Wouldn't it be nice to receive e-mail once a day about the problematic KPIs?
You: That is the most important number for our business. How did you look at that report over a week ago? You should review it EVERY other day.
Old ME: Sorry boss. I had to focus on the onboarding of the new agency so, couldn’t spare enough time to report.
You: ……………
New ME: Mr. CEO, I’d like to inform you about the latest actions taken for the yesterday’s anomaly in one of the our e-commerce stores.
You: How did you noticed that issue? We have 3 e-commerce stores and you are always following up of all important numbers. You don’t seem to be tired of doing this. I can't afford to lose you and here is your hike :) (The most absurd way to get a raise)
Here is the answer: Minions! NO, but, close to that. Custom Alerts. Boring? Absolutely! But necessary if I don’t want to spend my 2 hours every day to review the important numbers.
Just navigate to the admin panel in your Google Analytics account. There should be a section named '“Custom Alerts” in the bottom right. Select the only-most-important KPI to warm up and create an alert by following the GIF below. It will be great to get alerted everyday if something wrong with your most important KPI. And if you like it as most of other GA users, you can add as much as you want.
